KING OF PRUSSIA, PA NOVEMBER 17, 2016 – Stuart Segal, entrepreneur and thought leader in the health care industry, has joined Polaris Health Directions, LLC, a pioneer in collaborative behavioral care technology, as a Senior Advisor for Innovation and Market Development.

Segal served as managing director of the Novotorium, a health care business incubator and angel funding organization where he was responsible for strategy, business development funding decisions. He is actively engaged in tech transfer programs at the University of Pennsylvania and assists early stage companies, including capital raises.
His career began in public health as Deputy Health Commissioner for the City of Philadelphia. He left public service to join US Healthcare (later acquired by Aetna) to start an internal managed behavioral care business which over time grew to a $1B operating business.
Stu has also served as CEO or COO of several other ventures, including the head of the disease management and wellness business of a Blue Cross plan, Sr. VP of the nation’s largest specialty health management company and Chief Strategy Officer for a major provider of medical services.
Stu is a graduate of Philadelphia University.
